Trip to Bandhavgarh National Park

Trip to Bandhavgarh National Park
January 29, 2023 by Gurdyal Singh

It was a scorching hot summer day when we decided to visit Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh. We had heard so much about the park and its incredible wildlife, and we were eager to see it for ourselves. We woke up early in the morning, packed our bags and set off on our journey.

As we reached the park, the heat was already intense. The temperature was well over 40 degrees and we were all feeling the heat as we set out on our morning safari. We were all excited to see what the park had in store for us, but we never expected to see something as incredible as what we did.

We started our safari and immediately saw a variety of animals such as deer, wild boar, and even a few birds in the lake. We were all clicking pictures and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the park. However, as we were about to leave the park, we spotted some movement in the gorge that caught our attention. At first, we thought it might be a deer or a wild boar, but as we waited and watched, we realized that it was a tiger. We were all on the edge of our seats as we waited to see what would happen next.

After waiting for about 30 minutes, a mother tigress emerged from the gorge, followed closely by her four cubs. They were playful and seemed to be having a great time, but the mother tigress was still cautious of any male tiger that might be in the vicinity. The cubs were carefree and played around the mother tigress, occasionally coming to her for some love and affection.

We watched in awe as the mother tigress watched over her cubs, making sure they were safe and sound. It was a beautiful sight to see the family interacting with each other. The cubs were playful and curious, and we couldn’t help but smile as we watched them play. The mother tigress was also very protective of her cubs, and she would always keep an eye out for any potential dangers.

As we watched the scene unfold in front of us, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty of nature. To see a family of tigers in the wild is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we were lucky enough to witness it. We couldn’t believe our luck as the sighting lasted for about 45 minutes, and it was an experience we will never forget.

We left the park that day with our hearts full and our cameras filled with unforgettable memories. It was a truly magical experience and one that we will always cherish. Bandhavgarh National Park is truly a gem of a place and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly incredible wildlife experience.
